Appia won two races in Italy and set a record of 1.12,6 , she’s by the Legendary Varenne. Her dam, Giberna del Rio has also produced Zarevic Blessed (105.476€) and Vai Mo’ Blessed (95.640€). Giberna del Rio is by Lemon Dra and Urban d’Asolo, that makes her a sister to champion Lana del Rio (1.297.254€) and also Pace Del Rio (319.963€) and Terra Del Rio (110.926€).

Nad Al Sheba’s career, which came to an end due to an injury in September 2010, with only twelve starts, all during the 2010 season, nine of which resulted in victories.

After a winning debut in a maiden race at Treviso, driven by his trainer Mauro Baroncini, he went on to score five additional wins, interrupted only by a second-place finish in the Premio Veneto. He then resumed winning.

Windsong’s Legacy, the sire of Nad Al Sheba (Italy’s 2010 Horse of the Year), was a winner of the Trotting Triple Crown (Yonkers Trot–Hambletonian–Kentucky Futurity). Retired to stud at the end of his 3-year-old season, Windsong’s Legacy died after only four breeding seasons. Despite this brief career at stud, he left an exceptional legacy, including Lucky Chucky 3, 1’50”4 (2007, $2,099,973).

Windsong’s Legacy also had a meaningful impact on European breeding, despite producing only a limited number of foals. In Italy, in addition to Nad Al Sheba, his offspring include Messalina Om 1’12”7 (stakes winner), Madison Om1’13”4, Pantera Om 1’13”6 (stakes winner), Meadow Effe 1’13”6, Overland Gar 1’13”8, Owens Gar 1’13”9 (stakes winner), Peredhil Baba 1’14”5 (stakes winner), Perseo degli Dei 1’15”7, Polka Inn Ronco 1’16”1, Plum Wise As 1’16”4, Principe D’Esi 1’16”9, Proxima MB 1’16”9, and Pussy Cat Gar 1’17”4.
In Sweden, he sired Copy Tooma 1’11”5, third in a Derby elimination in 2010, and Action Wind As 1’12”3, runner-up in the E3 Fillies Final (Group II).

Nad Al Sheba is the second foal of Divina Dei 1’13”8, his dam lines goes back to Noble Gal (4th dam).

Noble Gal became the first broodmare in trotting history to produce seven performers in 2:00, she also produced Super Way, the sire of the champion and top stallion Diamond Way and—most importantly—Noble Hanover, third dam of Bell Power, dam of Going Kronos 1’09”9, Lantern Kronos 1’10”0 (1’52”3).
